Caesura - Sparkles of lie
A downloadable game for Windows
Caesura - Sparkles of Lie is an action adventure and exploration game where you play as a mysterious knight-like character, seemingly destined for a mission too heavy for his shoulders, in the floating world of Saṃsāra.
About Ceasura
Step into the role of a knight on a perilous journey, piecing together fragmented memories that surface in strange flashes. A persistent curse forces him through cycles of rebirth, with only the ethereal light retaining echoes of a bygone age's complex machinery.

Explore a small, yet expansive, open world, engaging enemies with your sword and transforming their essence into a radiant aura. Guide your way with light, purging the world's tainted remnants, and purify yourself by channeling light through your blade to resist the encroaching darkness.
Uncover hidden paths revealed by the interplay of light, and draw strength from ancient steles to enhance your combat prowess. Command your powerful elemental spirits—Loki (fire), Jotun (ice), and Akhlys (poison)—either individually or in cooperative play. Utilize your ability to materialize items with light, and strategically position defensive towers to repel waves of encroaching shadows.
Immerse yourself in the adventure of this miniature open world, fighting to break free from an unending cycle and preserve what remains.

Yyyyyyvuuuuuuu, promising demo, visuals are nice and intriguing (the clouds creating shadows on the ground is the cherry on the cake simple but very effective effect, I had no clue what I had to do so i was just walking around trying to make sense of the world around me, but I see a lot of potential in there.
Thanks Seamous for your try. You can bright the sword and watch the direction gave by the light to find areas of the hero memory kind of flashes or hallucinations. Since it's just a demo you'll not access to a lot anyway. I wish you had a good time despite all.
I like the concept of tower defense mixed with other genres, it's interesting.
Graphically I really like it and I see that it has Nordic touches, I love that too!
Great job, can't wait to see more!
I didn't make the link with tower defense but you're right!
The tower defense gameplay is not elaboreted, especially in this overview demo you don't really have materials (towers items, hard challenge) to play with it and may just pass by...I'll keep working on it anyway.
Thank you for your view. Well it's far not graphically as advanced as some spanish developers I know but at least it should be widely export compatible...
Looking good, nice colors, great FX, and I really like the art style! Reminds me of Zelda or Ico, it's a very interesting mix. Is the game still in development? I would really like to see more in the future :)
Thank you ! I am happy you like it. I get inspired by 90's and early 2000 games I suppose. I worked things with water color on paper so it's really painted textures. Yes it's still in development, I limited this demo version to the central zone.
Would love to see some of the watercolor art in a devlog someday
Good idea, I started one and added some artworks made for the game. Let me know if you'd like to see more.
Thanks! Really cool :)
